Delete your account.

You can delete your Union account, and everything held with it, whenever you want. There are two ways to do it: yourself in the app, or by asking us.

§ 01Delete it yourself

This is the quickest route, and it happens straight away — no waiting on us.

1. Open Union and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Delete Account.
3. Confirm. Your account and its data are removed immediately.

One thing worth knowing: deleting your account does notcancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Those are managed by the store, not by us. To stop future payments, cancel the subscription in your Apple or Google account settings as well.

§ 02Ask us to delete it

If you no longer have the app installed, or you can't sign in, write toprivacy@unionwith.app from the email address you used for Union, and ask us to delete your account.

We'll confirm the request and delete the account within30 days. We ask you to write from the registered address because it's the only way we can tell it's really your account — we won't delete an account on someone else's word.

§ 03What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes:

• Your account and sign-in details
• Your journal entries, written and spoken
• Your voice recordings, including the stored audio files
• Prayers you wrote yourself
• Your saved prayers and verses
• Your check-ins and the prayers they suggested
• Your settings, including your tradition and reminder times
• Your notification tokens, so reminders stop

Two things behave differently

We'd rather be plain about these than leave them implied.

• Prayers you shared with someone. The links stop working and are no longer connected to you or your account.
• Records we're required to keep. Purchase and billing records held by Apple, Google or our payment provider are theirs, kept for tax and accounting reasons. We can delete your Union account without being able to erase their records.

Deletion is permanent. We can't recover a deleted account, and there's no grace period once it's confirmed in the app — so if you only want a break, signing out is the gentler option.

§ 04Deleting only some things

You don't have to delete everything to delete something. Inside the app you can remove a single journal entry, a prayer you wrote, a voice recording, or a saved prayer or verse, and you can retract a prayer you've shared so the link stops working. Your account stays as it is.
